Coalition elects new chair and executive board
Jeff Bissonnette, Citizens’ Utility Board of Oregon
The NW Energy Coalition welcomed clean energy advocates from around the region to its jam-packed NW Clean & Affordable Energy Conference May 30 – June 1 in Boise.
The Coalition’s Saturday board meeting featured a special thank-you for outgoing board chair Chuck Magraw of Montana and the election of his successor, Jeff Bissonnette, a long-time clean energy advocate and organizing director of the Citizens’ Utility Board of Oregon.
Others elected to the executive board represent a cross-section of the Coalition’s diverse membership. Officers include:
- Vice-chair Megan Walseth Decker of the Renewable Northwest Project
- Treasurer George Pohndorf, an individual member representative from Seattle
- Secretary Katherine Schacht of the Emerald People’s Utility District
Jim Morton of Human Resource Council, District XI in Montana and Boise-based Pat Ford of the Save Our wild Salmon Coalition were also elected as at-large members of the executive board.
