WA environmental community announces its 2013 legislative priorities

Clean energy, toxic-free couches and kids’ products, and more funding for projects that protect the environment will be on legislators’ agendas for the 2013 legislative session in Olympia as Washington State’s Environmental Priorities Coalition (of which NW Energy Coalition is a member) announced its 2013 Priorities. These three Priorities are critical in protecting the state’s quality of life, creating Washington grown jobs, and preserving a better future for our children.

It’s hard to believe the new year is just around the corner and that means the start of the 2013 legislative session. The NW Energy Coalition is part of the Environmental Priorities Coalition which has just recently announced its legislative priorities for the 2013 session. The environmental community’s three priorities are:

  • Toxic Free Kids and Families Act
  • Clean Energy Solutions
  • Conservation Works

More information on the priorities can be found here.

The Environmental Priorities Coalition’s legislative workshops and lobby day coming up in January and February are great opportunities to learn more about the priorities, interact and hear from your legislators, and learn more how to get involved.
