10th Annual CUB Policy Conference (Virtual) – October 16
Join the NWEC at the tenth annual Oregon CUB Policy Conference, Finding Hope: Improving Our Energy Systems in the Age of COVID-19. This virtual event will take place on Friday, October 16, 2020. With a mix of expert panel discussions and presentations by industry leaders, this conference offers a unique opportunity for intersectional learning.
Oregon Governor Kate Brown will kick off the conference with opening remarks, followed by an Opening Keynote presentation from CUB Executive Director Bob Jenks. The day’s first panel discussion, The View from the Top, will convene NW Utility Executives to discuss how utility providers are responding to the pandemic and how they envision moving forward.
Panel topics include: A Once-in-a-Century Crisis Requires Once-in-a-Century Solutions for Customers; Moving Forward: Beyond Restoring the Status Quo; and Implementing the Oregon Climate Action Plan – a discussion of Governor Brown’s Executive Order No. 20-04 with representatives from Oregon regulatory agencies.
This conference is designed to educate energy and utility policy analysts, attorneys, advocates, regulators, and others working in and around the energy industry. CUB is seeking Legal Education Credits for this conference from the Bar Associations of Oregon and Washington.
