The NW Energy Coalition will mark three decades of successful advocacy for clean energy and abundant wild salmon with a 30th Anniversary Gala the evening of Friday, Dec. 2, in Seattle.

Federal Energy Regulatory Commissioner Philip Moeller will headline the banquet, which begins at 6:30 p.m. PST in Seattle University’s Campion Ballroom, 914 E. Jefferson St. Moeller, now in his second term as a FERC commissioner, is a former staff coordinator for the Washington State Senate’s Energy, Utilities and Telecommunications Committee and energy policy advisor to U.S. Sen. Slade Gorton (R-Wash.).

The Friday night program will feature the Coalition’s second executive director, Marc Sullivan, as well as Seattle Mayor Mike McGinn, Ralph Cavanagh of the Natural Resources Defense Council, and current executive director Sara Patton.

More than 300 guests are expected at the event, a mix of regional energy policy leaders and Coalition members and allies.  The evening will feature a three-course dinner that will include wild salmon and local beer and wine.
